This beautiful colonial planter’s bungalow with its Georgian windows, gables and stone walls was hand tooled by Ceylonese artisans over 125 years ago. Just 38 miles from Colombo and two hours drive from the International Airport, it is situated in 60 acres of lush rubber estate in the wet zone of the island. The 4 Suites are minimalist but luxurious and the bathrooms are state of the art, with hot and cold water. The house has two beautiful dining areas, but one can picnic in the midst of the rubber trees or even by the pool. Meals are sumptuous or simple, You choose. Home grown, hand picked vegetables and fruit, island fresh fish ot imported steaks are all on the menu. Ask the cook for the local specialties.
The laid out garden is extensive with indigenous tropical trees and plants. The gardener will guide you through them, he is incredibly knowledgeable about botanical matters. The cool blue swimming pool is surrounded by huge rubber trees, gently rolling lawns with a pool house and changing rooms.
